UPDATE NEWS AND FAN TRANSLATIONS!
Hi, everyone!
Couple of quick announcements, as I promised I'd keep everybody up to date!
First things first, due to losing over a week to the Patreon stuff, the next update has been delayed for one week and will be released on the 26th of February (for Subscribers - the week after that for everyone else, as usual). I'm sorry about this, but what with everything that happened I just wasn't able to get anything ready for today.
The second announcement is that I have finally opened up the FAN TRANSLATION channel over on the CK Discord! If you know someone who is making a fan translation of CK, or you're making one yourself, head on over there to post it!
Note: Once CK enters beta I will be hiring official translators, and any fan translator who has been active in the Discord fan-translations channel will be given priority :)
Okay, that's everything. Sorry about the delay, everyone, but after next week things will hopefully be right back to normal. And I have some big things planned for the story next month...

Yes, CK will be translated into Simplified Chinese for certain, and Traditional Chinese if I can afford it :)

Will the full version of the game be free?
Yes, the final version will be completely free for everyone :)
I will also be providing an open-source, uncompiled version for a small cost ($5-15) which will allow people to do whatever they like with the assets and code. Make mods, use the characters, extract code, or even use the game itself as a template for your own game - whatever you want!

Would the open source version include things that didn't make it into the final version of the game? For instance, if someone wanted to look at how the old version of the district combat system was coded, would that be included? Or would it just include things that were in the final version?
Just the code that made it into the final version - however, this does include the original battle system as I never actually removed the code for that (figured I might turn it into a minigame on the MC's laptop at some point) :)

I am not in CK Discord server (yet). But if you do need Indonesian translation, I will join the Dicord server and help right away.
Fan translations are run entirely by the players :) I'm a solo dev so I don't have time to oversee translation work personally (although I'm always happy to answer questions translators may have!) but if you feel like undertaking the project yourself on Discord, that would be amazing!
Well, I am totally fine with undertaking the project myself. But how do you make the translation? I am no game dev. I don't know my way around programming or coding stuff (without direction that is).
(Just joined the Discord server, by the way. The place looks nice.)
Different translators have different methodologies, but for the most part I think they tend to use the "UnRen" software to de-encrypt the game files, then load everything up in Ren'py and translate page by page.
I've never done it myself, so I can't be much help on the subject, but there's already a Spanish translation posted so you could ask the translator about their method in the post's comments :)
Alright then. I'll see what I can do first, then I'll certainly ask the Spanish translator if I am stuck.

I don't know how to make a fan translation, but if anyone need help translating english to chinese, please @ me, I'm in the discord with the same username
well, i hope that someone will traslate to spanish, i understand english, but better if is my lenguage XD,
I'm like 90% sure that there's a fan translation of CK in Spanish already (because someone sent in an error message where an image file reference had been translated from "morning" to "manana" :P ) but I couldn't tell you where to find it, sorry!
Hopefully the translator will post it on the Discord fan-translations channel!

Will there be a translation into Brazilian Portuguese?
There will be once the game enters beta, but for now if you want a Brazilian Portuguese translation it's up to the fan-translators :)
I almost got into the Discord link thinking that it would be a server for posting art or maybe asking something or stuff like that xD
But then i saw that i'ld literally do work and i said
"Work? Nah... I love the game but i do not love working xD"
You can still post fan art and ask things on Discord, just in other channels. Feel free to join
The Discord is actually super active with regular discussion about a whole variety of topics! The Discord community is what saved this game when Patreon was on it's bullshit a couple weeks ago. Please join us!
I'm not sure what you mean by 'work'..? It's a normal Discord server with normal channels, including posting art, asking questions, getting help and sharing lore theories.
What it doesn't have is 'work' :P

i really love the third act so far, but im very curious about what happens to the students at the college?
after the fight things kinda stop not very much to do so yeah more content would be nice
More college content coming quite soon! I'm a solo dev so balancing the main story content with side content is a very difficult balancing act and I keep falling off the tightrope! :P
But yes, coming soon(ish)! :)
