I gotta say im really impressed with the art style change but holy hell it really needs a lot more of the content back

The game is being redone better looking character models better graphics etc the last update was about a month and a half ago granted it was a bug fix but still id say its not that huge of an amount of time to go without any updates be it a bug fix or whatever edit: also writing skills improve over time maybe they want to change parts of the story around now that they know better I personally enjoyed the parts of the rework that are out so far please continue the game even if there is a lot of negativity some of us will still stick around edit 2: inside the devs discord their last sent message in the game chat channel on the discord was from the 29th of July they are having issues with subscribestar its just more payment processor nonsense

Damn, Arc... you really threw the entire thing away and started over huh? That's kinda crazy. And guessing the updates aren't being posted here like they used to because you are still pissed at itchio for their bs... man, now I genuinely regret deleting the game to download it fresh because I hadn't actually done everything there was before. Damn.

Now for my thoughts: genuinely impressed with some of the new systems, namely the dialogue things like selecting the orange text and having the info show up at the bottom. The overall scenery of the game definitely looks better but I will say I'm unsure how to feel about the new town as it currently is... Will have to grow on us I guess. Especially the new explore mechanic with snacks. Because MC totally didn't have anything to eat since he left Grandpa's, meanwhile MC just chowing down on snacks while wandering the streets as if that isn't eating >_> like I'm fat irl and I don't even do that xD. Now for the characters... the new looks are honestly neat, pixie having a weird attempt at a skirt isn't my thing, but the rest of her look isn't that bad. Seeing folks complain about how Emma used to look but like... she was intentionally plain. Her being overly colorful off the bat seems weird, but she also seems to have been reworked from the ground up. And while I dig the overall look of most characters, their faces to head size seems... more off than it used to. Like they always had a big head before, but their faces still kinda fit it. And I get that's a koikatsu type limitation because they try for 3D anime style which results in bulbous head sizes. But the way they are now just keeps making me remember Code Lyoko. Where the characters just genuinely had massive heads and small faces that left many inches of extra unused space there. So I think that in particular is what's rubbing older fans the wrong way the most about overall looks. The "end" being basically directly after into initial "intro" was also a weird choice... like... going back to my first statement, you really just threw it all away and started it all over huh? Even though you were almost done with it and were seemingly getting excited to start on the sequel? This genuinely feels like a situation where you should have stuck with the prior and finished it then used this new system for the sequel... it's just so drastically different from what you started with that it's clearly not going well for some fans.

Regardless, I do hope you get back to updating on here, I am genuinely curious to see how your story has changed at this point... because this intro has shown that it is very barely still the same story.

I don't know why  people are acting like it's a whole new game since the characters act the same just look different (except the rock spirit girl she acts different also I forgot her name. Even then we barely interacted with her in the previous build) on to the topic of the redesign, never have I seen a new look for a character and  thought this feels like what it was supposed to be as opposed to the original look, and still prefer the old look.

Pixie does not look good in that makeup.  Asteria (the minotaur lady that im certain I misspelled the name of) looks better in the cargo pants rather than what looks like gym shorts, and yet again the redesign makes sense.  Still prefer the cargo pants. 

As for the story changes yeesh there was a lot of world development to have the anti fey faction be so prominent from the beginning. Again makes sense to properly set up the foundation for when it becomes war in the streets later as it didn't quite make sense to me that a SECRET organization had THAT many people in it but still remains unknown, nor did it make much sense to me that no one of the ordinary citizens knew fey existed while living next to a densely populated magic forest. 

So yeah the new world changes make sense but are big enough differences that I understand why people don't appreciate these developments. 

(If you left the previous version available to download and compare like the game lust doll + does than people could see how all the changes fit and outrage should die down a little, hope this advice helps)

If you read through this overtyped comment. Keep up the good work everything looks better (except for pixie) and I can't wait for the story to reach back to where the previous version left off.  Thank you for the game and I'll check back in on this game later.

Are the new designs 100% locked in? If they are, I don't see many of us sticking around. If they aren't, and you're willing to redesign the characters around the old designs, I'd suggest making a decision letting us know. People may wait around for a bit of time if you actually do intend to, but otherwise you've lost most of your audience. If you're more honest going forward, whichever way you choose, I hope you find success; just don't lie anymore about it being the same. 

Disappointing to find out that you just made a new game and called it a remake. You should have at the very least kept up an active link for the old one since that's what got you to this point in the first place. Never thought my opinion of a dev could drop so much.

Ok? Well, it's not bad. But it's a different story, a different art stile, different mechanics... shouldn't you have made a second game out of it? At least the images here should reflect the new art stile...

Btw, how to start a new run? There's only "Start" on main menu and that one goes straight to the last save, despite there being none...

I don't mind the idea of them trying to change stuff up and go new with things, but I feel like the old version should be kept for people that prefer it or wanna see how it used to be. Especially since all the screenshots are from the old version.

Got around to trying out the update, I saw all the criticism regarding it and thought "it can't be that bad." I couldn't have been more wrong. This entire page is just false advertisement at this point.

To say to your supporters "Don’t panic! This is the exact same game as before. Same story, same characters, same plot beats, same everything." and then give this to them is absurd.

Should've just made a separate "reimagined" game at that point.

I might tolerate a few changes here ant there, but this is just horrible. Give us back our cute pixie! All the girls look weird, just because it's different doesn't mean it's better!

Dame dude, how'd you fuck up this bad. Not goanna lie, the new stuff doesn't look that bad.  Looks a lot better and has some potential. Just gotta keep on working on it my guy.

Look... I'm genuinely disappointed. It's clear that this new version is a step backward. The previous version wasn't perfect—we all know that—but this new one feels even worse.

The story has already started with so many problems, and I really don't like the new character designs. At the very least, you could have kept the story from the previous version, since it was practically complete. But you changed that too.

I've watched this beautiful game being created from the very beginning, and now it feels like I'm watching it be destroyed. I've waited years to see its conclusion... and this is what I ended up with.

I almost never log in to comment but this is important. Friend, you are changing too much too fast. I'm not sure why you seem to have a problem with your old work, but in your haste to replace it, you seem to have forgotten to consider if the changes you're making are improving things. It seems to me that in many cases, they are not.

This is a TLDR of the past 2 months.

Developer has deleted 90% of the game in a downgrade/rework and is false advertising currently.

Not gonna lie, it feels kinda icky seeing the stills and clips from the original game still being used to promote the new one since so much has changed. That feeling is made so much worse with just how little the new game is just a tutorial while the rest of this page implies that there's so much more.

I agree with Byasbeach. You had a truly amazing game. The rework was amusing at first and then terrible when I realized it was a total replacement. I would prefer that you fix Act 3 and, most importantly, reinstate old versions of the game. I was so disappointed when I couldn't revert to my previous game because you removed the links.

But it's your game my dude...

Everyone keeps shitting on the designs but i really like them they are way cuter and unique and less koikatsu 

I am honestly super disappointed that there wasn't any sex content, Not trying to shit on you Arc but the game has been in development for years and you basically just threw it in the trash to restart, Just feels like such a waste.
