Corrupted Kingdoms (NSFW 18+)

From what everyone is saying I don't know if I want to download it the original was a masterpiece why couldn't you just finish it then make the remake...at least you'd have an ending now we got to wait another ten years to see if it finishes the story this time...if not longer...

This is not remake, this is awful game with only the name of the original and without any NSFW content. Stay away

So it's been a long time since I saw this game so the remake is it still the same concept or is it completely different from the original 

I'm probably very dumb for this, but stuck in the very first scene in the train: "Like the sunlight on water,  each moment there for a brief dazzling  moment..." Been looking at that scene for something shining, but I see nothing and don't have a clue how to proceed. Anyone have a (subtle, not too obvious) hint?

Glad the game is finally back, but the new designs and story aren't an improvement in my eyes. I feel like it changed far too much about the basics of the original story, all the mystery and suspense has vanished. It's still a good game by all margins, but I feel like an overhaul of the original story and little additions to the character design would've been a better move. Still a good game, but a little bit of a downgrade.

I have to agree with others, the new story and character designs aren’t as good as the old ones. In og the magical world was a secret, no one knew about it outside of powerful people. But in the redo fae and Numens are just general knowledge and accepted? The mystery and hidden world was one of the draws of the game just gone now.

The character redesigns are the biggest drawback, Pixie no longer looks cute and is dressed like a goth for some reason, the Aunt is no longer a milf and dresses like an office worker, Emma’s now blue when she was great before, Morgana got hit the worst in the redesign, She’s ugly af. One of the standout things is the noses of the characters, they look so weird! Like really off-putting! I hope this is just early concepts of them or something but if this how everything is gonna look from now on I dunno if I can stick with this.

where can i download original version instead of the rework ?

I don't mind the rehaul, but the noses just aren't it for me. They are very out of place

I know he just returned, but when do you think a Spanish translation will be possible? 

Saw the comments on Itch about the new version, and it’s a bit wild how impatient some people can be with an evolving indie game 🤦
Personally, I like the changes. they bring a fresh identity, even if some things feel a bit weird at first (just a matter of habit).

I really don’t know what happened here, but this rework just plays bad. It doesn’t feel like the same game at all anymore, and honestly… wtf? I’m not even trying to be overly harsh, but this is genuinely disappointing. I really hope someone eventually picks up the old version and continues it as a fan project, because what we have now just isn’t it.

I can barely recognize the game anymore. The atmosphere, the tone, the overall feel it’s like everything that gave it charm has been stripped away. Before, there was a certain identity to it that made it stand out, but now it just feels generic and disconnected. It’s not just bad. it’s different in a way that completely misses what made the original enjoyable.

The characters are a big part of the problem. In version 0.2.1, they don’t feel like the same people at all. Their personalities seem off, their interactions feel forced or inconsistent, and it’s like they’ve been rewritten into something unrecognizable. Instead of building on what was already there, it feels like the story has been reset into something entirely different and not in a good way. I’ve seen others point this out too, so it’s definitely not just me.

Graphically, it honestly feels like a downgrade, which is surprising for a rework. I still have the older version backed up, and putting them side by side just makes the issues even more obvious. The new visuals lack the same polish and style that the original had ( looking straight up ugly). Things feel off less expressive, less immersive, and in some cases just plain worse(like the average phone Gatcha). Even the way the game starts now feels awkward compared to before, like it lost that strong first impression.

Another thing that really bothers me is how the fey are handled now. Making them more common completely kills the sense of mystery they used to have. Before, they felt rare, special, and intriguing something you wanted to learn more about. Now they just feel like another standard race living alongside everyone else, which makes the world feel a lot less unique and magical. It’s a big shift that takes away more than it adds.

Overall, this rework feels like it lost sight of what made the game engaging in the first place. Instead of improving or refining the original experience, it replaces it with something that feels weaker in almost every aspect story, characters, visuals, and world building.

Really disappointed to see it going in this direction. 

Trying to become something its not and was never meant to be just really disappointing.

I will be missing the old character style a bit. It's like when an anime switches animation studios, lol. Honestly the new character style is great, but the noses are kinda throwing me off. Is it just me?

I haven't played this game in a very long time. even way before Arcadean decided to rework the game do to allot things happening, including my pc breaking. I'm seeing quite a few negatives in the comments, but I'm hopeful. I talked a bit with Arcadean back in the day about how well he did with the game and how much I loved the story all those years ago. I'm putting my faith in him and coming back now that the remake is now out. I was holding out after I got my pc back and heard about the remake so this is my once again. first time playing the game and excited to see the changes and how the story is now. 

I miss the original but I have faith they will be able to make this version good as well, just got to let them cook.

ah I just came back to this game.....what happened so much has changed the game is nigh unrecognizable the whiplash of seeing "Fish" as the second character in the game when fae were supposed to be hidden was yeah ok, the setting is completely different I'm just really conflicted these changes don't seem necessary

Just got through a decent chunk of the current version here on itch.io.

PC and Android work well.

No game breaking stuff yet and it seems easy enough to traverse areas.

The game is playable and interesting, but as a returning player from the original, this game is definitely not the same.

From the game mechanics to the world itself they are different. The artstyle change really is distracting and not in good way. The old game was easier on the eyes and simpler to me in several ways that made it easier to play.

Unlike in the original where you are presented choices to traverse the world, this game gives a different kind of map where you spend points for food to travel. The world is very different as people are more aware of the supernatural, unlike the original where no one had any real clue, that and the original had more secrets to uncover because the world was so in the dark which definitely made it feel like you were really going into the unknown.

The one plot line stemming from your character returning to get revenge or seek justice, or the new option seeking the truth, is really the only thing that seems the same so far.

Most of everything else is different, which makes this more like a FINAL FANTASY 7 REMAKE though not as playable. Emma works at a resort you are staying at as a cleaner which is not how we originally met, Jessica is trying to distance herself from the Institute before we are even involved, the Institute is now in open view of the public as diplomats for humanity, so much is different now that any experiences you like about the old game are mostly gone. This version honestly feels like a warped reality based on things from the original.

I honestly understand that when code gets messy you need to start over to make it work, but the whole game feels and looks different to the point that the two are not the same. I can't even look at some of these characters because of the change in their looks, their faces especially. The noses, god, the noses, your character waking up to see directly in front of you a wierd looking nose staring you in the face, not as funny as you think.

I still have the old game with saves for every plot point and hidden encounters. Way to much feels different and instead of it feeling like this new version is adding on, it just seems to shove aside everything to replace it entirely with things that I don't recognize.

This version currently, CKv0.2.1, is not the Corrupted Kingdoms I enjoyed so much and waited to see get a continuation. Way to much has changed for it to be the same at all.

I loved the older versions art of this game  I haven't seen an update for this in way to long I think it's just dead and over.....such a disappointment another great game gone to ruin....I wished they finished this game instead of remaking it and screwing a good thing up...I'm done with this dev...it.pisses me off so much I followed this game from the beginning and supported this dev to reach the end of the game just to be let down they won't finish it and now decide to remake the game entirely...another abandoned masterpiece....fuck this dev...

To be honest, I really loved this game back in the day. But now everything is just so disappointing. The characters in the remaster are barely recognizable. After all this time and all this waiting, that's what players got in return. Forget it, it's over now.

I GOT SO EXCITED! But why cant we have anything with him? he is so cute! I think we should be able to fuck every genre.... but still very good game even though I would like to have something with Ard

I bought the Subscribestar once so I could play the last update earlier. Honestly I am kinda mad, but hope that the remake will be good

From what i am seeing, this game is in a similar situation to Evermore.

The dev decided to remake the entire game into something else and looses 80% of the original audience. 

Is that correct?
