The weekly update has been released!
This week it's a new conquerable district, complete with brand-new Boss Girl! Also, you can chat with Gwen and Jessica is properly disrobed for her bathroom scene (and if you summon her while she's in the bathroom she stays naked! Because I know what the people like). Also, bug fixes. Just... just so many bug fixes. I hope you enjoy! :)
PLEASE READ! IF YOU ARE ON WINDOWS, LINUX OR MAC IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT THAT YOU DO NOT OVERWRITE THE OLD UPDATE WITH THE NEW ONE! JUST EXTRACT THIS UPDATE TO A BRAND NEW FOLDER AND PLAY! THE GAME WILL TRANSFER YOUR SAVE FILES FOR YOU!
KNOWN ISSUES: Due to the necessity of changing the User Interface some screens (such as the skill, inventory, fighter and crafting screens) haven't had a UI pass and look kinda janky. All this will be fixed in the next few updates, so please bear with me until then. Thank you!
CHANGELOG:
- War Map: New Conquerable location! "Northside"! (Just north of the Manor)
- Boss Girl: New Boss Girl! "Noelle" is in charge of the Northside district!
- Jessica: Jessica will now default to naked if she's in the bathroom (or if you summon her while she was in the bath)!
- Gwen: You can now find and chat with Gwen at the FRONT DOOR on WEEKDAY EVENINGS!
- Gwen: Gwen now has a paperdoll!
- Android: I have changed the code to make the quick menu permanently visible while I try to figure out how to get the on/off code working consistently. All Android users should now see the quick menu at the top of their screens
- Misc: Added a flash transition to some dungeon scenes to mask the animation reset on variable change
- Bug: Trying to do naughty things with Chloe was sometimes throwing up an error
- Bug: Eating food no longer opens you up to a counter-attack. Although it kind of should..?
- Bug: The "e_HEAL not defined" error has been crushed beneath my sandalled feet
- Bug: ENDURE battle skill was confused as to whether it blocked physical or arcane damage. It's fine now
- Bug: Goon was shaking his breasts at you in combat. He's been asked to knock it off
- Bug: Jessica was being duplicated in the bathroom. I know, more Jessicas = more fun! But the existential crisis was getting to her so she's back down to just one now
- Bug: Pixie clone was appearing in Act Two when you asked for Easter Egg hints. She has been returned to her vat
- Bug: HP and WP weren't being restored correctly if switching from a low HP/WP character to a high HP/WP character. Now they are!
- Bug: Squads were being removed from battles that should have had them if done after "looking for trouble". They have returned!
- Bug: Gwen & Ami: Kid Detectives find nothing but boring paper with pictures of old people in the wallet. What a waste! After feeding the paper to a cow, they continue their mission!

Hi! Not sure if I'm missing anything, but does Noelle have an inheritable skill for MC? I was looking forward to getting a Seduce skill, only to find a basic set of skills in her kit. Thanks!
No, Noelle is a spoiled little rich girl who's never had to work for anything in her life. Literally the only two things she's good at are flirting and shopping ;P

I know you've addressed this, but I'm on android and still can't use the quick menu. One of my favorite games ♡
Unfortunately the quick menu bug is only showing up on certain devices, which makes it extremely difficult for me to troubleshoot. The update released this week should fix the display issue but no guarantees unfortunately. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Have you considered adding a option for players who had to reset or lost their save files to skip ahead to certain acts?
I considered it... and then remembered that CK is a story-based game with thousands of choices and associated variables and that attempting to maintain any sort of "skip ahead" feature on a weekly update schedule would completely destroy both the game, the amount of content I can create, and my sanity :P

Woah! The game has been massively updated since the last time I played! The last time I played was 0.17.5 having just started Chapter 3. I'm getting the occasional error pop up and I've only poked around a little bit but it seems like the War Room doesn't do anything for me? I'm incredibly out of the loop, so would it be better to just download the entire game fresh or is there some solution that will keep these save files?
No need to download the game fresh - I work hard to ensure that all saves are compatible between versions. If the error you're getting is the "tempCOR" one then you can hit "ignore" or wait until Thursday for the fix - either way you don't need to worry about it; it's not an important variable.
As for the War Room, you probably haven't done the tutorial - check your leads :)

I'm not sure whether I've done something wrong when updating, I did download the update into a new folder as the update suggests. Any idea what's happening?
Fixed for the next update, but in the meantime you can click "ignore" and it won't break anything. It's just related to Noelle's support ability boosting the frontline fighter's COR stat. Sorry for the inconvenience!
Will be all boss girl scenes gonna be same? Some of them should be diffrent. Its just my opinion. Because its not feel like update same scenes with diffrent models diffrent dialogs.

You need to progress far enough in Act Three that Jessica shows it to you. Just follow your lead :)

Then you're in Act Two... the War Room doesn't open up until Act Three. Just follow your leads and the girls' heart menu hints.
Does anyone know if i can get my old save data back i had to change computers because my last one broke and I want to know if there is a way i can get the data from that computer on my new one.

Yes, Ami will be able to get pregnant :) And you will be able to bring all your allies into battle with you eventually if you wish! Just need to get their battle assets and skills created and coded in.
Though do you really want to risk getting Ami hurt any further than she already is..? ;)
I think there should be some kind of benefit or incentive to exiling or killing the defeated boss girls. Currently why would anyone do it? To that point, why even make it an option? Give people a tough choice to make between keeping the girl as a slave with one benefit, or killing them with a potentially better, different benefit, or the middle ground of exile with maybe a lesser combined benefit. I think it would add a bit more depth to the system

I don't want to incentivise people to start murdering characters; it's not that kind of game. The options are there for people who want to play that way - and in certain cases it may actually be a good idea - but aside from the issue of balancing it out (what could possibly compare to gaining a new fighter and new skills?) it rewards a mentality that's at odds with CK's mostly light-hearted style.
When it comes to certain characters, though (The Chief, Morgana, Tom, etc.) players will, I think, naturally find themselves contemplating their best move of the three options and that's more along the lines of what I want when it comes to the exile/execute options.
Also, it's an adult game and the Boss Girls are cute. You honestly think anything I offered would incentivise 90% of the playerbase to kill them? ;)
Not that I don't love him... probably <_< ...but there are times when I would have clicked that MURDER button for Gramps, too. :P

You're gonna need to build up the defences first (and something happening in the next update is not going to make Emma feel a lot safer) but it's definitely a step in the right direction! :)

She's not "unlockable" that way, yet. It's been hinted at her being someone important later on, so yes, she will probably be the "reward" for completing a mini arc of some sort... we just haven't gotten to that "later on" yet. >_>
What Thindor said :) If you've maxed out your college authority in Act Two then you'll be able to uncover the mystery of the Quiet Girl and the Sword Girl in Act Three - but I haven't coded it in yet.

That being said, would it be possible to put the "authority" level in the same menu where all the other skill levels are?

It's an optional system (you don't have to touch it to progress to Act Three), it only appears for a comparatively-brief moment in Act Two and it only affects its own system and nothing else... so I don't want to put it in "stats", at least not using the current stat UI.
I might rework that whole page, though, to give readouts of a lot more variables (Kind/Cruel ratio, number of kids, number of times used X Power or did X thing, and so on). Because I agree it can be a bother having to go to the office to check your authority :)
How to level up resist? I wanna use shatter on her but she beats me in 3 attacks
You can't improve specific battle stats (yet) but levelling up your character gives you across-the-board boosts. Also, try using a support character that buffs your ARC stat :)
I assume TheARCadean's ARC stat is already maxed. ;)
