The weekly update has been released!
This week it's a new conquerable location and a new Boss Girl - Rachel of the Riverview Apartments! Also, you can now chat properly with Molly and Gwen, there's a new dream and a number of UI and bug fixes! I hope you enjoy! :)
PLEASE READ! IF YOU ARE ON WINDOWS, LINUX OR MAC IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT THAT YOU DO NOT OVERWRITE THE OLD UPDATE WITH THE NEW ONE! JUST EXTRACT THIS UPDATE TO A BRAND NEW FOLDER AND PLAY! THE GAME WILL TRANSFER YOUR SAVE FILES FOR YOU!
KNOWN ISSUES: Due to the necessity of changing the User Interface some screens (such as the skill, inventory, fighter and crafting screens) haven't had a UI pass and look kinda janky. All this will be fixed in the next few updates, so please bear with me until then. Thank you!
CHANGELOG:
- War Map: New Conquerable location! "Riverview Apartments"! (East of the Manor)
- Boss Girl: New Boss Girl! "Rachel" is in charge of the Riverview district!
- Skill: New combat skill - PURIFY! Removes negative effects like Befuddle! Learned from Rachel, the new Boss Girl!
- Molly: You can now talk to Molly! Find her in the Manor Garden!
- Gwen: You can now chat properly with Gwen in the Living Room!
- Qarinah: A new dream has been added! If you dream (10% chance on sleep) then you will now have a guaranteed dream that hints at what's going on with Qarinah...
- UI: Removed black bars from: Living Room, Front Door, Lily's Bar, Pixie's Event, Emma's Event, Ami's Event, Gwen's Event, Molly's event and Manor Garden
- Dialogue: Tidied up the dialogue and dialogue UI for Jessica and Ami
- Bug: The Qarinah/Beast dream was appearing in Act Three, even though that makes no sense. Now it isn't!
- Bug: Lucille's paperdoll was appearing on the wrong side in the wardrobe scene
- Bug: From beneath the bloodied, huddled rags a haggard form stirs and rises, trembling, to its feet. From one skeletal hand dangles a sword, obviously too heavy to hold and yet still the figure holds on... on the blade is inscribed two simple words: "Typo Hero". Gwen & Ami: Kid Detectives gasp! The jam thief at last!

Ah, I found a very serious bug. While talking to Molly, the option to ask her to let us feel her abs... doesn't exist! D:

Can anyone give me a summary on the dream I had, my english is not too great.
If you got Qarinah to love level four:
When you dream, you feel someone trying to reach you but they can't because of something "she" did.
If you didn't get Qarinah to love level four:
When you dream, you feel ice starting to cover your body and a voice tells you that if you keep trying to fight "her" then you will die. But the voice doesn't want to kill you.

I found the MC's forearm returning to normal when he defeats rachel, is this planned, or did you just forgot about the black forearm. (It was just a spark to mind, not trying to be picky or anything)
Oh dear, it was bound to happen. And if you pay attention even closer, it has happened before.
Arc keeps forgetting that the MC has a different model in act 3. Which is funny, because he’s the one that decided it should be that way, effectively making it impossible to reuse scenes from act 2. That and the possible mixups like you’ve just seen.
But yeah, on the victory cards Noelle, Ophelia and Terri have the “new” model, because he’s shirtless and the arms are clearly visible.
Ophelia and Hazel have the old model, notice the not-blackened hands and that he’s using his old jacket instead of the hoodie.
And then there’s Rachel, Robin is shirtless but his arms are barely visible.
I’m starting to think he might subconciously dislike the dark arms, but that’s another one of the holes he dug himself into.
Random Fact: Notice how the MC has painted toenails now.
It's just me being a dummy. For nearly four years I've used the same model for the MC, so when I'm sleepy or distracted I automatically load that model in instead of the new one :P
Ah the "joys" of a game dev
So this is kinda out of nowhere but, playing through act 2 i have a new theory about the quiet girl from the college library. Just curious if she has any more content/interactions? Or is she one youre saving for later? Im also curious if there is more unfinished side content (not just the lewd stuff) from act 2? I can understand if you want to hide some answers till act 3, I just need to know if I'm missing any of this awesomeness you keep hidden off the beaten path.

No, she’s avoiding you.
It’s intentional, she’ll get content in act 3, provided you got to Auth 5 in act 2 before moving on.
Probably the sword girl will appear too.
But it’ll take a while, we have to first take over the college district and then Arc can start adding stuff in the districts.

Battle skills? For act 3?
You need the character that knows the skill as frontliner and the MC as support. Use the skill until he learns it.
Sometimes it takes a while.

She would be really overpowered due to the fact that she doesn’t have a physical form… As far as we know, and I don’t think she’ll use it for this.
Maybe she could teach us something, imagine we get some shit like an ultimate attack that could “instakill” someone but as a WP win.

If you’re not on the third act, then what I said won’t make any sense to you. Keep playing.
If you are in the third act. Riverview is right… next to the river… East of the manor.
how do i know what act im on? i completed everything needed to be completed. it just says i can't go further in this game. sorry if im just like brain dead or dumb.
Yeah, the girl’s cards aren’t a guide on the act stuff.
The leads have that purpose.
But if you haven’t raided the church yet, you’re still in act 2.
Also, if you don’t have leads in act 2.
Visiting Gramps
First, check if he’s still in the garden. Then go to the map and take a train to the mountains. Talk to him.
Training
Gramps won’t spill the beans until you’re ready. So do the 4 levels of training. Then talk to him again.
Someone shot the messenger
Gramps still won’t talk, he needs you to fetch a pigeon on the lake. It’s on the map, you have to check it at least 3 times. Bring him the pigeon back once you found it. A bit more talking and now you should have the main story leads.

Good bunch of our kids are part-fey but others are full human (assuming the MC is a human).

with the ability to talk to Molly now added, any chance the option to ask her for more details on the supposed wolf girl at the electric fence? I'm still worried for Kana's safety, even though safety is near nonexistent in war times...
(again, I love that this game has made me emotionally connected to these characters, they almost feel real at times. good job again!)

Molly said “a couple furry-looking Fey”. Which the MC wondered if it could be someone from Kana’s clan.
But it kinda doesn’t fit them. Last time I asked Arc, Kana isn’t covered in fur, aside from the ears and tail she’s pretty much a normal girl.
Plus, if it was Kana, Gwen might’ve recognised her, since she’s on surveillance duty.
If snything, a furry looking fey could be something close to Erica.
But yeah, also worried about the girls in the farm. The kids too.
It might take a while before we get there. We’re probably going to have to conquer the districts on the south-west of the map. Might take a bit.

I read that when using conjunctions, you put the first verb at the end of the clause.
EDIT: I just read about sentence order of the second clause when using conjunctions, and OH BOY is this going to take longer than it did for adjective endings.
I call myself lucky that I never had to really understand German grammar but simply learnt it more or less automagically growing up :)
Growing up with it is by far the easiest way of learning German. But even many native speakers don't get the grammar right. German grammer is honestly a big mess. English is soooo much easier imo. And it also reads in a smoother way. German just doesn't have the same kind of flow to it (no idea how to properly put it into words). It's inconvenient to the point that I actually prefer reading stuff in English by now.

dunno, I think it's more caused by translations: it is impossible to not lose some details and deeper meaning when rewriting a text in a different language. my preferred genres are scifi and fantasy and there are simple not a lot of good German-speaking authors around, so reading the English sources is simply better (I would *love* to read, say, Stanisław Lem in the original language. don't understand one word Polish, alas)

heh, true. the part I most dislike i English is the more or less random way (to exaggerate _slightly_) how words are pronounced, never found for me a good way to map letters to sounds, with all the exceptions
