PUBLIC RELEASE - v0.21.4 - STUFF AND THINGS!

This week it's mostly bugfixes and polishing, as usual after my break. There's also a concert by Terri & Tammi in the park, a new daily buff for combat, and the improved HIDDEN VOICES system has been rolled out to more characters in Act Three! Oh, and next update it's back to story, story, story content! I hope you enjoy! :)
CHANGELOG:
- TERRI & TAMMI: Terri & Tammi will now perform a concert! Make sure you've conquered the Park and explored it, then talk to them about the concert!
- TERRI & TAMMI: Terri & Tammi will now appear in the background of the Park when you visit it
- COMBAT: Watching Terri & Tammi's concert will give you a +2 to your CLASH dice for the rest of the day!
- HIDDEN VOICES: Added the new HIDDEN VOICES mechanic to more characters (click on the ORANGE text that appears when people talk)!
- HIDDEN VOICES: Disabled the old system once you reach Act Three so there isn't any weird overlap and people don't get the bizarre issue that happens when you use HV while a dialogue choice is visible (the new system will eventually be added to Act Two as well, but that's a TONNE of work)!
- Bug: Fixed an issue that was causing the tooltips for inventory items to spill out of their box
- Bug: Gwen was having a Yandere moment in Act Two even after being on a beach date with you. Her short-term memory loss has been fixed and now she'll calm down as she should!
- Bug: You could confront Hana and Ard at night in Act Two. Now you can't - they need their beauty sleep!
- Bug: Trying to access the Nexus in Act Three was causing the top bar to disappear. Now it doesn't!
- Bug: Chastity was showing up outside the Church in casual clothes in Act Two long before she should have. She'll be more patient now!
- Bug: Lyx's HINT was talking about conquering locations way before it should have. Lyx has been scolded and promised not to give out any more spoile- THE REAL ENEMY IS ACTUALLY-(crash)
- Bug: Terri & Tammi were sometimes forgetting who was who. They should remember their own names now
- Bug: The Fairies weren't actually doing anything when they won the CLASH roll. They should be less distracted now
- Bug: Gwen & Ami: Kid Detectives watch in fascination as the sword rises from the pool of glowing light, clutched by an unseen hand. The sword clatters to the ground, the hand grips the edge of the shield, and pulls...

It's actually "Lay It Out" by Cateholic. Same singer, different mix :)
All music is listed in both the in-game credits and CREDITS.txt file in the game folder, if people want to check out the incredibly talented artists who put out their amazing work royalty-free!
There is a scene with Gwen in the swimming pool doing some physical rehab.
...could you at least have someone be with her? It feels a little dangerous for her to do it alone.
Gwen's not an "ask for help" kinda girl, but people keep an eye on her if they notice that she's snuck off to the pool :)

It could be anything from a corrupted download to overwritten files to something specific to your machine or the way that Ren'py is interacting with it. In your game folder is a file called "traceback.txt" - if you could copy-paste the entire thing in a reply that would help me narrow down the issue.
Yes, I look for it but didn't see the file in the game file i only see "traceback.pyc"

same here, in my first play i didn't killed them, i just wait to see when she wake up what she will say about it. I really hope Kana would ask them dead...
I really enjoyed TnT's little concert, but the music started up while I was still musing "I've never heard them sing before"; it feels like it should wait until I click through to them dancing to start instead.
I'm glad you liked it :) The dialogue line was misplaced and has been moved to before the singing starts up. Thanks for the report!
The song being: "You Got Me" by EGO Sky was unexpected. Its nice when you find people have similar taste in music. 😆

At first I was having safety concerns about having concerts in the middle of a war, but can't complain about morale boosting (and dice roll buffs)!
Huzzah, more chances to peep into other people's minds! (still completely morally fine to do, surely)
Also, a random idea suggestion, as I was rewatching the part after you leave the church and fight "la creatura" , I got reminded of the game "Prey" where there's one specific enemy (apex) where if you try to scan/discern its' true nature, it'll have consequences on the PC. I was thinking that with all the mind reading improvements, maybe there could be enemies that have similar abilities to what you have and actively fights back/counters yours. (Just as food for thought!)

If you use Hidden Voices on Gramps and Sawano you get something like what you're asking for :)
Ah you meant them "reacting" to it right? If that's what you meant, then I did try it (
not because I used hidden voices on every single person when I met them, nope). It did surprise me the first time I got them though! :DHow dare you give me this much freedom of trial & error & discovery, in a story-focused game! Curse you, TheArcadean!
as soon as i finally downloaded the last update another comes out and i only just got back to Act 3 T-T
Your save files automatically transfer between each version - you can download the update and carry on from when you left off :P
there was an issue downloadign 21.3 on itch i think you had to downlaod the version on its own. something about an invalid update. 21.4 works tho this doesnt auto transfer the saves.
what i mean is i can barely keep up with the content i know that it transfers automatically.

NOTE TO EVERYONE WHO WAS HAVING TROUBLE UPDATING THE GAME ON THE LAUNCHER:
I've managed to revert to an older upload method that retains channels, so if you were still struggling then you shouldn't have any more issues and the game should update normally.
To everyone who uninstalled and re-installed the game to remove the error: you should be fine, and the game should update normally, but Itch's launcher was put together by Eldritch horrors bent on human suffering so I can't guarantee it. If you have trouble then uninstalling and reinstalling via the launcher again should work.
This is the last time you should all have these issues! The current upload system is stable so it should last all the way through to the end of CK's update cycle.

First time playing this h game again since 0.19.5
Lets see what i missed
When I initially tried updating for 21.4 and opened the game, it was showing version 21.2, instead of 21.4. I had to uninstall and reinstall the game for it to work right. Not sure why that was. Perhaps that might have been some legacy of the weird things that went on with 21.3.
It was, wasn't it? But aren't they all? I mean...I trust maybe two of them to always work as intended and it certainly wasn't always that way.
