Hey! I'm likely missing something, but I can't figure out how to change the girl's outfits once you get to act two. I can change them in the cards, but that does not carry through anywhere else, and the dialogue option for Lilly and pixie aren't showing up anymore. Any ideas?

In Act Two you can only change the outfits during naughty scenes, sorry! I'll be slowly backfilling the Act Three paperdoll system into Act Two over the next few months so that outfit changes are properly reflected.

Are the fifth hearts actually possible to unlock?

The fifth hearts are the "Devotion" hearts and will be unlockable via a special event in Act Three in a later update :)

do you have a rough timeframe for the next update?

I release updates every week :)  The only exceptions being when I take one week off every two or three months to avoid burnout, or when a new system is taking longer than expected (which has only happened once in over three years).

Hi, I have a question. This there a limit for how many children you can have? I'm far into the game now and now none of the girls can get pregnant.

There's no limit, but you can't have more than one in the world at any given time (if you want a new kid with a girl then you need to put the previous kid in the Nexus).

Girls need to be love level 4 before you can impregnate them, and you must have unlocked the Nexus first (it happens early on - just follow the Fey lead).

That clears a some stuff, but can't have any kids with any girls. Only the ones that I just got to level 4 with. They all say they're already pregnant. Just did Luna's and Astria's story and they got pregnant the first time. but now it keeps saying they're pregnant. I'll be honest, i've been pumping out kids lmao.

You can only have one kid for each girl that can get pregnant and any given time

Ahh... Was misreading what you guys were saying. I leveled multiple girls to 4 in a short time and was trying to get them all pregnant at once. lol oops anyway loving the game and can't wait for the story to progress.

Make it more cluttered, good luck seeiing through every single screen possible to see being available at a moments notice through one quick button (sure you cant see it due to the whole, buttons covering everything, but it sure is playing right now)

How many districts are now available to conquer

In the early access 0.17.9 there's two, and in the public 0.17.8 there's one. I'm adding new districts slowly for the first update or two to make sure that the system can grow without hitting errors or roadblocks. Expect the number to start jumping up in future updates :)

with the new general system will their be a choice after you recruit them to have non dungeon sex? Not much of a fan of dungeon stuff personally

They're enemy combatants so they're not going to join you without forcible conversion (except for some cases). If you want to skip the dungeon content, though, using Shatter in combat allows you to instantly recruit them after the battle - provided it works :)

Hey, Arc, a buddy of mine has recently been dabbling in things like python, renpy, and rpg maker. They have been trying to disect how you did some of the fancy stuff like the moving text, rainbow text, etc. Any tips you can offer that I can throw their way?

I'm not smart enough to create something like that on my own, sadly! The special text effects are called "Kinetic Text" and they were coded by one Daniel Westfall. I credited and linked to him in the game credits, but just to make things easy, here's the git repo for the script:

Thanks dude, they been working on and off on various random things that stick in their brain lol. Unsure just how much they got going so far, but they been making good progress afaik.

better than I did when I tried doing some rpg maker and coding things XD I struggle to learn though.

Both Quiet Girl and Sword Girl will reappear in Act Three (if you maxed out your college Authority) and their mysteries will be solved then. It's not in the game right now, though, sorry :)

I was playing this game  on Android during the last update so when I caught up to the content I decided to delete the app while waiting for the next update and I decided to copy the files but when the new update came out I lost my old files is there a way to quickly catch up to we're I was before with the same choices and things unlocked.

It depends on how long you had the game deleted but I've run into an issue where I lost the data I had then I deleted and re-downloaded the game and had my saves so try deleting then re-download

Unfortunately, no, sorry! If you deleted the game and lost your save files then the only things to do are either to replay through everything again or head to the Discord server and ask if someone can pass you one of their saves (people are always happy to do so).

Here is what I find on the latest update : 

1. The dialog box feels taking too much space of my screen. Not sure how to fix it tho.

2. Skip button cannot be used for previous save. Like the game think I never played the chapter.

3. Add a menu in fighter list to properly see all skill the character have as frontline.

4. Add a picture box (maybe on the right side of the screen) for character picture. The pixelated character might be a bit hard to see who is who when there are many character later.

5. The quick menu sometimes disappear when I use the arrow to bring up the UI and bring it back down.

6. The new box UI looks good but need consistency of where it will appear.

7. Tell the new player how to find Jessica to start the battle. I'm confused how to start it at first.

I'll just quickly go through your points in order:

1.  The dialogue box won't be changing; it's needed at that size and positioning for the paperdolls and amount of text some characters have

2.  I'll look into this, but I didn't change any of the quick menu code other than the positioning so there's no reason it should be glitching out. Odd!

3.  This is part of the "wonky UI" mentioned in the changelog and will be fixed up over the next few updates

4.  Any picture shrunk to that size would be difficult to see regardless of pixelated or not. It would also severely clash, thematically, with the rest of the pixelated theme. If you're having trouble just sort by name and they'll be listed alphabetically.

5.  It's supposed to disappear when the top nav bar is hidden, but you're saying it stays hidden even when you bring the nav bar back down again? A couple other people have said something similar, so there's definitely a weirdness happening there that I'll look into this week.

6.  I have no idea what this means, sorry.

7.  I assume you mean the "strategise with Jessica" lead (as the "Learn how to Fight" lead clearly informs players to go to the garden.) - I can't make that any clearer, unfortunately, as she moves around daily. However, the ability to call Jessica to the living room any time will be in the next update (out tomorrow).

4. I can understand about the pixelated and I LOVE the pixel battle. What I meant is to just put something like character card that will show the character picture. This thing will be on the right of the character menu, not in the fighter list. This is just suggestion tho.

6. Im sorry. The choice scene UI is not centered like previous version. Just need some time get used to this.

If you're finding Jessica by the pool then you're still in Act Two :) You need to be in Act Three to see any of these changes.

She is in the bathroom on WEDNESDAY mornings and at the front door on SUNDAY AFTERNOONS. In the next update (out tomorrow for pledges, Thursday for everyone else) you will be able to call her to the living room any time you like. Sorry for the inconvencience!

What is difference between keep or destroy relic at beginning of act 3

It has a big effect on the later part of the game, but that's not in yet - and no spoilers, sorry! :)

The only question that haunts me is whether the choice to lie to Pixie about loving her or to say it as the truth affects the further attitude towards her...?)

As for the Pixie truth/lie thing, it only affects certain dialogues - the MC will either genuinely care about Pixie's wellbeing and will be more patient with her if true, or he won't care about her at all, except as the thing keeping him alive, and he'll be far less patient if lie.

Hello, big fan of your work. 

I noticed that on android, the quick menu doesnt work no matter what i do with the deployable menu (i made sure it is enabled in options) , when i enable it then close the game and re open it, it goes back to being disabled, and even when i enabled mid gameplay, it does not show up. 

Just to be clear (so I know what to look for in the code), you're enabling the quick menu in Preferences and you're clicking on the arrow on the top-left of the screen to make the top bar visible? And the quick menu still isn't showing up?

That is correct. The top bar is visible, the quick menu is enabled in prefrences, but it does not show up. 

If there is any info i can provide to make debugging easier, just ask.

If you're in Act Three then she's not  in-game yet, sorry! Except as a fighter for the combat system. I will be starting to add everyone back into the Manor again now that the big new systems are out :)

Will shatter ever get used on besides Gwen?

Assuming you mean aside from Chloe? There are some places I've seen it as an option, and while most of these are for minor characters or simple exploration scenes there is at least one character aside from Chloe who merits a "heart card" that it can be used on ( although not used right away ).

Shatter can already be used on multiple different characters and is a core ability for the combat system that was released this week, so... yes? :)

Game keeps crashing

What is the error you're getting, what does the traceback.txt say and what OS are you on?

If I'm coming from an older version will it corrupt my saves to update to the newest?

I work extremely hard to ensure that all saves remain compatible with future versions, and in 99% of cases all saves remain compatible forever. However, sometimes things do go wrong (especially if the game wasn't saved in a "safe" area) so I can't guarantee anything unfortunately.

Same thing happened to me but i think might have better idea of what got affected , you see i made a save before going to church with  chastity which was unaffected but one of my save that i made when making a choice between keeping the relic or destroy it got affected .

I wanted to take a moment to say that you've done a great job at creating some adorable and wholesome interactions with the MC's children in this game. Normally this is something that wouldn't grab my attention at all, but then you see something like Kana's daughter dancing in the background at the festival and you can't help but smile.

Hey Arc not sure if anyone's asked this yet but I was just wondering will there be more content inside the Club upgrade for the Bar like going on dates with different girls inside of it?

Not until the game moves into beta, no. I'm trying not to add anything to Act Two now that the game's moved into its third act because I don't want to force people to replay content over and over.

will i miss out on any real content if i just go full on evil?, with the conquest i dont lan on killing anyone but i do still want to be as evil as i can.

from my experimenting not at all, from what I've been able to tell it's not a very strong influence on the story so much as... a influence on how events play out (that said I tend to awaken over break which might be where that road differs)

Nope! The game allows you to approach scenarios as more "kind" or "cruel" but it's not interested in making a judgement call on your choices. You won't be locked out of routes based on your decisions (but that's not to say there won't be consequences) and all content will be available in a single playthrough :)

A quick couple of questions about the combat: will every district have a leader like Chelsea? And will recruiting them rather than exiling or executing them have some impact on the story?

Yes and no in that order :)

Yes, every district will have a Boss (mostly girls, but sometimes not - as in the case of The Chief) but choosing to recruit, imprison, exile or kill won't usually have an effect on the story, beyond altering people's reactions to you and your actions (execute a lot of people and you may earn the "Monster" title, or recruit everyone and become known as an "Incubus"). There's 40+ districts in the first map alone so not every leader can have an impact.

That being said, there are exceptions, and when you come across a story-critical boss, the game will let you know they're special in some way.

This actually brings up something stirring around in my head. When you Shatter Maven, her girls are not affected and just blindly fall in line after you give the order to retain old behavior. So what happens when you execute Maven? The forest is clearly empty after. Did the rest of the minions get silenced as well? I'm running parallel games to see Kana's reaction to each.

When you download the zip file go to your file Explorer app and press on the zip, and choose to extract and extract into download ör anywhere else you would like

Yeah, it's something that the Itch uploader does randomly and I have no control over it - sorry!

It's very easy to extract, though. Doesn't matter what generation your phone is - the extraction is done via app (such as Google's own:  https://support.google.com/files/answer/9048509?hl=en-GB  ) and so your phone can handle it. Plus, zip files are almost as old as the internet so you could extract it on a potato ;P

I am curious about some of the decisions in conquer system, specifically the ability to "break" a prisoner with sex (rather than powers) and the option to execute them. Note that I'm not attacking these options within games or anyone who chooses these as options. However within the context of this game it feels like a pretty significant shift.

it still seems odd that the MC would be taking these actions at this point. Despite the events at the church and the start of the war I think even awakened residents of the manor would question the execution (ie murder with extra steps/speeches) of prisoners who had been "fucked into submission" already.

Perhaps there is already a plan to factor in a players choice to go down this road in interactions with the cast / impacting future decisions. Of course the player can always choose choose to exile captured bosses/make sure to shatter them in combat.

The "cost" of turning the MC into more of a cold-blooded killer type is baked into the system itself - it denies players access to new recruits, events that require those recruits, and the unique abilities those recruits had.

As for the shift itself, there's a few prongs.

The first, and most obvious, is that if I didn't allow players the option to kill during war then I'd get complaints. Especially given some of the people you'll be going up against in time (Tom, The Chief, Morgana, etc.)

The second is that it marks a noticeable shift in the MC's attitude that - coincidentally - occurs at the same time as he becomes corrupted with the Beast's essence. Wow, that's certainly a huge coincidence! Anyway...

The third is that I always like to offer player choice and agency when I can. These opportunities are limited, as I'm a solo dev on a weekly release schedule, but in cases like this where the "time investment" is two renders and a paragraph of text, I figured I could add it with no issues.

The fourth is that honestly, from MC's perspective, killing certain people may quite honestly be the smartest move. Let's say you fight and beat the Chief... your choices are to imprison him forever (not ideal for numerous reasons, including drain on supplies, motivating the Org to focus attacks on the Manor rather than their currently split focus, and giving the Chief a chance to escape), or exile... which, I mean, he'd just come back. You could try breaking him but I think most people would rather not ;) So killing in that case makes the most logical sense to a lot of people. This is war, after all.

(Also, it should be noted that the execution after breaking the girl is performed by the MC, not by anyone else. MC's keeping that one quiet. "Oh, I exiled her" would probably be his go-to if questioned.)

Anyhoo, just thought I'd clarify the decision making process behind the "execute" option. And if it doesn't fit your concept of the MC, you can completely ignore it. It will never be an enforced option :)

No, each update file is a standalone, meaning you only need to download the latest version and it comes with the full game (so far) :)

I really love this game.

What are some games that are similar to it. The ones that i know of are champion of realms and overpowered(yoshigames) so yeah what are some other vns like this?

As well as Yeshmiyek's recommendations, I can also highly recommend "Heroes Harem Guild". The dev actually started out in the CK Discord and is an incredibly talented programmer and writer!

funny enough, i actually just started playing HHG and i was wondering why some of the mechanics felt like CK, i just finished the prologue and i cant wait for the next update of that, the story at times genuinely made me cry, like this game.

I made a mistake, I copy pasted the game instead of extracting because I read the patch note too late. So, I deleted my existing game and downloaded a fresh one and played again from the start and it seems that I'm kinda stucked around strategize with jessica. How can I fix this?

Whoops! Your save files would still be salvageable, in case you didn't want to start again, but it seems like you already got all the way to Act Three again, so... I hope the replay wasn't too dull! :P

Hi! First I wanted to say that I love the game, it's incredibly good for an "adult" game type.

 And I wanted to make a question, are you interested in translate your game to spanish? Because it'd be great, I speak spanish and I understand perfectly english so I don't have a problem to play the game, but there are probably a lot of  hispanic people who would love to play the game as well.

Hello hello! First of all I wanna say that the game is awesome so far, absolutely one of the best games of this genre, so hats off to the devs. *takes off metaphorical hat as a sign of respect*

Now my question (spoilers for the end of Act.2):

I'm just finishing act 2 of the story and I found the decition of whether to take or destroy the relic, I tried both choices and did the rest of Act 2 but nothing seems to change as far as I can tell. Is there a way to know what ramifications this choice will have? What if in the future I want to see the other alternative? Do I have to load all the way back to Act 2 and then play everything again up to the point where the consecuences occur?

If anyone has played and seen what happens with the relic in Act 3 (Which I haven't played yet) I would love if you can tell me (I don't mind spoilers at all)

As for your question, your decision to take or destroy the relic will have a BIG impact on the ending of the game, but that impact won't be revealed until much later on. Don't worry, though, if you made the "wrong" choice you will have one chance to fix it (after that you'll just have to live with the consequences) :)

So basically, destroy it for good ending, keep it for bad ending? I don't think the "one chance" will be magically fix the pieces stuck beneath the church, it'll probably be a chance to break it in a key event before it gets into morgana/eldritch hands. Either way old post and I was looking for the answer myself so here I am ig.

I can't fight any other place than crescent hill. Is this intentional? Is there something I'm supposed to do before I invade the others?

Крч вкратце: весь движ начинается во втором акте. Минотавриха (вторая картинка) появляется после того как откроется Нексус у Морганы (тут зависит от прохождения, в среднем +- пару часов). Куноичи (первый арт) находится на живых источниках в горах (второй акт -> сесть на поезд -> hot springs). Важно: НЕ ВЫКАЧИВАЙ МАГИЮ ИНАЧЕ НЕ ОТКРОЕШЬ НОВЫЕ ЗАКЛИНАНИЯ (читы на стату и деньги будут в твоей комнате во втором акте на компьютере. Ну или можешь изменить файл renpy в папке с игрой. Консоль разработчика открывается shift+o, в интернете найдешь если что).  Сначала исследуй окраины (Outskirts -> explore, там надо будет направления выбирать) найди Ведьму и пройди все испытания. Может показаться начало мутным, но просто дойди до этого момента
