The weekly update has been released!
I was super sick last week because someone threw pee on me (don't ask - I'm in Thailand right now and it's a Songkran thing) so this update is mostly bugfixes and polishing. And also a naughty scene with the Puppet... if you dare! I hope you enjoy! :)
PLEASE READ! IF YOU ARE ON WINDOWS, LINUX OR MAC IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT THAT YOU DO NOT OVERWRITE THE OLD UPDATE WITH THE NEW ONE! JUST EXTRACT THIS UPDATE TO A BRAND NEW FOLDER AND PLAY! THE GAME WILL TRANSFER YOUR SAVE FILES FOR YOU!
KNOWN ISSUES: Due to the necessity of changing the User Interface some screens (such as the skill, inventory, fighter and crafting screens) haven't had a UI pass and look kinda janky. All this will be fixed in the next few updates, so please bear with me until then. Thank you!
CHANGELOG:
- Puppet: You can now have naughty fun with the Puppet in Act Three! (If you dare...)
- Puppet: Added a new line of dialogue to the Puppet in Act Three, allowing you to ask about MC's mother
- Jessica: Jessica will now appear naked on Wednesday mornings ONLY in the bathroom and when you summon her to the living room. No more warring with Org members with the girls hanging out
- Ami: Ami's paperdoll has been updated to the newer version (no more being cut in half! Poor mouse...)
- Lucille: Lucille's paperdoll has been updated to the newer version (no more being cut in half! Though you know she loves to be split apart...)
- Molly: Molly now has a paperdoll!
- Misc: The dialogue bar was masking the Nexus icon in Artifact's demesne. The icon has been removed and replaced with a dialogue option instead to make things cleaner
- Misc: Added a couple lines of dialogue to the first Qarinah encounter in case you don't get it before Act Two
- Misc: Adjusted a line in Asteria's exercise event to account for the fact that Mistis may or may not be there
- Bug: An "iExit" tag was displaying text instead of an icon
- Bug: Ophelia's support attack was causing an error. She has been told to stop aiming it at the CPU
- Bug: "Pump It" was displaying the PHY boost as "0" no matter what. Now you can get your gains again, bruh!
- Bug: Healing effects were always showing on the enemy's side, not the player's. No more heal-stealing!
- Bug: There was a little screen tearing around the "decorate" and "wardrobe" buttons
- Bug: You can no longer "Talk to Pixie" in Act Three upon just waking up
- Bug: Some incorrect names have been corrected
- Bug: Weird line breaks in two events have been removed
- Bug: Courtyard Girls in Act Two were discussing things and people MC hadn't discovered or met yet
- Bug: During your first class, the Courtyard Girls talked as though you've met even though players may not have spoken to them yet
- Bug: College staff and students weren't correctly changing to casual clothing when the option was unlocked
- Bug: Fixed a couple of text run-over menu options
- Bug: Qarinah's Heart Card is now locked until the meeting in the garden near the start of Act Two
- Bug: Qarinah's "Princess" outfit is now locked in her heart card until players complete the event that unlocks it
- Bug: Gwen & Ami: Lid Defectives have dim-covered the jam thief! Lurking at each other, they gulf loudly and peach our their hands...

There are currently over fifty girls in the game, including side girls and one-shots, so it's tricky to juggle them all well enough to keep people happy :P
That being said, the main girls are the focus, so expect to see more Lily sooner rather than later!

You might’ve missed something.
Check the leads, I think that usually tells you how to progress.
But if I had to guess, you were introduced to the warmap, but you didn’t do the fight training.
Check the garden, Jessica should be there.
After that, you have like 5 conquerable districts, one more coming on 0.18.6
Could you please, Please, PLEASE get rid of those taglines in the names? The (You: the Hero?) is Very distracting and seriously takes away from the dialogue. Even more so than the off center text.

And yeah, I’m saying it as someone who is also not a big fan of the off-centered text.
But apparently the paperdolls system is going to be used a lot more in Act 3 - and then retroactively added into the previous acts - which is why more screen space might be necessary.
All true, but to add to this, there will be an option to select "no title" when I put the title system in properly, so you will effectively be able to "turn them off" :)
Arc how do you get skills for the mc
For now, you get skills from other teammates.
You put them as main, MC as support, then use the skill until he learns it.

I do like where the story is going so far... but... I miss Kana... if it turns out Kana was the wolf girl to get shocked by Molly's electric fence! the Soldier is going to need discipline... I do hope everyone is safe at the farm... I've been worried ever since the church incident...

Yeah, I probably phrased that very badly, sorry! I love Thailand and the people and the pee was actually thrown by a farang (foreigner) in Bangla road. The worst I got from a local was a bucket of ice water thrown into the back of my TukTuk, and frankly I needed to cool down anyway ;)

Yeah, I don't think a lot of the farang treat the festival respectfully, sadly. They see the locals laughing and joking and having fun and think "oh hey, it's a silly thing!" and completely miss the spiritual aspect (and the fact that the locals really need this time to unwind and de-stress).

It's very sad, I know... on the plus side, once you hit five hearts with her you'll be able to select "Nude" as an outfit choice! Naked Jessica ALL the time!

I don’t think Arc will add a system where you have control over different clothing pieces. The more moving parts a system has, the more chances it has to go to wack.
As for the hairstyles… Guess it’s kind of the same, more moving parts, not that many people have mentioned the hairstyles being gone.
With one dev on a weekly schedule, you gotta cut corners somewhere I’m afraid.
What Chris said, I'm afraid. The hair customization was sadly causing way too many problems and taking far too much time to create the necessary variations. This is about the limit that I can go to right now without half the week being spent solely on cosmetic design and coding :P
I apologize for assuming you had a whole team working on the game. It does surprise me it's just you though, for the game is the greatest, if not one of the best, NSFW visual novels on this platform. For the paper dolls question I hope it wasn't taken too seriously. I'm grateful we get paper dolls to begin with and if others don't agree they don't understand the process of making such game. Again, I was just being curious about future plans and do not want it to look like i'm disappointed or something was done wrong. Just keep up the good work I'd say. Do everything at the pace that's best for you- slow or fast. And whatever you plan in the future for the game I'm sure us community members would enjoy and appreciate the work. Looking forward to next update along with ones to come!

How do I get to the crafting screen to fortify the base??
No such thing, at least for now.
You can make food in the kitchen to heal yourself during battles, but you can’t fortify locations yet.
i wondered when this puppet update would happen. now all that's left for me to wonder is when we'll find out what happened to the students, the farm and the girls, the students and other characters, specially emma

For the college, we have to take over the district.
Farm, who knows if we’ll have to take over the entire town before moving to the outskirts.
Other characters… Well, after the event with Chastity coming to visit I wouldn’t imagine Emma feeling safe…

From the dialogue when you try to go towards the outskirts it looks like we'll just have to take over the "Exit Road" tile. Which should clear the way to leave town in that direction.
Well, it’s one thing to conquer the entry point and another to conquer the exit point.
Like, I don’t know in which direction Arc is taking the conquests.
It seems like the Café and the Church are both sort of the strongholds of each faction, so they might be added near the end of the map. But then what, are we going to do a counter clockwise loop around town, secure the exit points and then try to get to the other maps (mountains and outskirts)?
Who knows, I can’t read Arc’s mind. Last time I tried it didn’t end well…
We had been conquering the map in a nice, pleasing order, but then in the previous update we skipped over Riverview Apartments to take Old Town instead... and it just about broke me. ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE, NOW! We might conquer Fine Dining, next, or the Center for Disease Research! Or Belgium! Why not Elysium!? Qo'nos? It's all up for grabs! There's no logic to it anymore!

Nyeeeh, you’re being fussy for the sake of it.
I mean, we started with Crescent Hills (EAST), then went to Hillside Development (SOUTH), next we went to Northside (fkin guess), after that The Glades (NORTH) and lastly Old Town (SOUTH).
If anything, it matches the wack-ass order we were doing things.
But it kinda doesn’t match the order of difficulty. Riverview Apartments(at a glance) is easier than The Glades. Old Town only had two battles but Ophelia was harder than the previous chars.
Hell, I’d join you in complaining if Arc goes to anywhere other than Riverside next. With it we’d have that small sector on the top half of the east side of town.
After checking the districts, we’re probably going to move south afterwards.
Then who knows what’ll happen next. Do we cross at Riverwalk or go to the outskirts?
