UPDATE DELAY
Hi, everyone!
I'm really sorry to announce this, but the next update is going to be delayed by two weeks. Due to certain personal and family matters I will be travelling on Tuesday to the Philippines, and I'm not 100% certain that the place I'm heading to has anything approaching decent internet.
So, to avoid missing the update deadline and having everyone wonder what on earth has happened, I will be pushing the update to the 21st (28th for the public release) of this month. This will give me time to land, scope out the internet situation and make any arrangements that may be necessary.
I'm very sorry for the delay, and I apologise for any inconvenience! On the plus side, this will give me more time to work on content for the next update... but if you still wish to fling tennis balls at me, I understand.
(But it was my birthday on Saturday so please be nice!)

Haha, well even in Manila the internet isn't what I'd call amazing, but at least it exists and it's fast enough that I can get my work done! ;P

Can you update the game once downloaded without having to delete and download, which loses all your progress? If so, how?
If you're on Android you shouldn't be deleting anyway - just download the update and install on top of the old update. If you're on Windows, Linux or Mac you can delete the game and the saves will still be there.
If you don't want to download the entire update each time, the Itch launcher allows you to download patch files, which are much smaller (around 25MB each). But be aware that the launcher will sometimes delete manual saves! (Autosaves are safe, though).

If like you're going in rural Philippines i'm pretty sure your best bet is you have unlimited data plan
Going to be sticking mostly to Manila. I went down to Bukidnon last time I was here and it was like disappearing into an internet black hole!
Luckily Manila isn't that hard for wifi to comeby but it might be slow
